ONE Fight Night 8: Superlek vs Rodtang on Prime Video is upon us, and we all can’t wait to see our favorite heroes back in action inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The promotion’s third marquee card of the year live in US Primetime has all the makings of an epic event this coming Friday, March 24.

As always, the stacked card will feature world-class talent across multiple combat sports disciplines, from mixed martial arts to kickboxing, Muay Thai, and submission grappling.

Aside from two world title fights, this event will also feature some of the promotion’s fastest-rising stars along with promotional newcomers eager to make a statement.

With that said, here are the three biggest reasons why you should tune in to ONE Fight Night 8.

#3. It’s live on US Primetime and free for all Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada

American fans will still have to wait until May for ONE Championship’s on-site debut US debut at ONE Fight Night 10.

However, those with an existing Amazon Prime Video subscription in the United States and Canada can keep up with the action for free as it happens. American fans can get to know some of the promotion's hidden gems, including one of China’s brightest young stars, Zhang Peimian.

Following back-to-back sensational outings inside the Circle, all signs pointed to Zhang being destined for gold. The vacant ONE strawweight kickboxing world title appeared to be his for the taking, up until Jonathan Di Bella took it away from his fingertips at ONE 161.

Now armed with the lessons he learned from that setback, the 19-year-old Chinese prodigy will look to start a new streak against the debuting Torepchi Dongak.

The Russian striker, on the other hand, aims to make a name for himself by handing the ‘Fighting Rooster’ his second straight defeat.

Zhang is hellbent on earning a second crack at Di Bella and aligning himself with his compatriots Xiong Jin Nan and Tang Kai as ONE world champions.

That door will only open if he gets back in the winner’s circle against Dongak.

#2. Ham Seo Hee and Itsuki Hirata will settle their beef

Second-ranked ONE women’s atomweight contender Ham Seo Hee’s disdain for Itsuki Hirata was written all over her face the moment ‘Android 18’ missed weight in their supposed bout last year.

After blasting the rising Japanese star for her supposed unprofessionalism, Ham agreed to rebook their match and give Itsuki the opportunity to redeem herself at ONE Fight Night 8.

‘Hamzzang’, of course, will be knocking on the door of a possible world title shot if she can stop the Itsuki hype-train dead on its tracks.

Following back-to-back victories over the tough Denice Zamboanga, the South Korean star wants to teach ‘Android 18’ a lesson she’ll never forget.

As for Itsuki, an impressive win over Ham will no doubt catapult her to the upper echelon of the division.

It’s going to be much easier said than done for the 23-year-old judoka, but she’s eager to silence her critics once and for all with a statement victory at ONE Fight Night 8.

#1. We’ll finally have the undisputed queen of atomweight Muay Thai at ONE Fight Night 8

Janet Todd has never been comfortable calling herself a two-sport world champion even when she bested Lara Fernandez for the interim atomweight Muay Thai crown last year.

After all, there was still one person she needs to beat to solidify her claim as arguably the best female striker in the world.

This coming Friday, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will make her long-awaited return to the Circle after the birth of her first child.

Like Todd, the Brazilian has a lot to prove herself, and it starts with her high-stakes tussle with the American.

These two fierce combatants were both ready to lock horns in Manila last December at ONE on Prime Video 5.

‘JT’s positive COVID-19, however, postponed the match-up. Both fighters became a better version of themselves during that time off, and they can’t wait to show it in front of a global audience at ONE Fight Night 8.
