It is never easy to shine on a card which features the likes of Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, Yair Rodriguez, 'The Korean Zombie', Raquel Pennington, and others of their ilk; especially if you are a fighter making your debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship Octagon.

However, that's exactly what Maycee Barber did although her achievement was missed out on due to what happened later on in the card.

In the second fight of the main card, Maycee Barber took on Hannah Cifers in her Octagon debut. She had a record of 5 and 0 going into this fight, and her appearance only improved on it.

In her 6 fights now, she has won 3 by knockout, 2 by submission, and 1 by decision. Each of her fights has helped her in some way, to get noticed, and the fact is she has not made a secret that she wants a shot at the women's title down the line.

After looking at UFC Fight Night 139 results, it's hard to argue, that she won't get the shot sometime soon after all. During her fight, Barber never let up and was always going for the win in the most determined manner possible.

In Barber, UFC possibly have the successor of the current women's division. At 20, given the right conditions and training, Barber has all the chances to improve, and that's exactly what she can do.
