#2. ‘Rampage’ knocks out Ricardo Arona – PRIDE Critical Countdown 2004

'Rampage' Jackson's knockout win over Ricardo Arona at PRIDE Critical Countdown 2004 is one he's arguably most synonymous with. At the time, ‘Rampage’ had bounced back from his loss to Wanderlei Silva and was looking to get a rematch. Standing in his way was Arona, who had wins over the likes of Jeremy Horn, Dan Henderson and Murilo Rua.

The majority of the fight was contested on the ground when Arnona pulled guard. Jackson maintained control and didn’t get too reckless with his strikes on the ground, which didn’t allow Arona to catch him with a submission.

The fight ended in devastating fashion. After Arona applied an arm-triangle, ‘Rampage’ gained enough leverage to pick him up and slam him hard to the canvas, which knocked Arona out immediately.

#1. 'Rampage’ knocks out Wanderlei Silva - UFC 92

The history between ‘Rampage’ and ‘The Axe Murderer’ Wanderlei Silva stems back to their days in PRIDE. They fought twice for the PRIDE middleweight championship, with Silva winning by TKO on both occasions.

With both in the UFC, it seemed like it’d only be a matter of time before their paths would cross again. Heading into their trilogy bout at UFC 92, ‘Rampage’ was looking to bounce back after losing the UFC light heavyweight championship. Silva on the other hand, was coming off a massive knockout win over Keith Jardine.

This fight was much shorter than their previous bouts as Jackson made the necessary adjustments to defeat Silva. ‘Rampage’ caught ‘The Axe Murderer’ with a vicious left-hook to the jaw that knocked him out and avenged his losses.
