#2 Brand split
Prior to Raw and SmackDown being split into two separate brands, the WWE was starting to feel a tad stale. Whilst that can be considered normal for some fans, this felt a bit more serious than normal.
However, since the blue and the red brands received their own identities, the product in general, has received a boost of adrenaline that has left people genuinely excited about watching on a weekly basis again.
If you transfer that over to the UFC, it could work wonders. You could have the brands be titled something like "Alpha" and "Omega", with half of the weight divisions being put on one side and the other half on the other.
It would make things extra special because you'd know what kind of talent you're able to watch, and it would achieve the same goal as WWE, in the sense of featuring guys and girls who may not have had a chance on all the stacked number pay-per-views.
Speaking of being featured, this next entry is vital in order to freshen things up.
