Irene Aldana's facial cuts after stitches

Irene Aldana suffered multiple deep gashes around her right eye and nose in the UFC 306 clash with Norma Dumont. According to a general consensus of fighters and fans, it was the worst cut in the history of the promotion.

In case one is not convinced, take a look at the cuts being tended to right after the fight here. [GRAPHIC WARNING]

However, after a day's rest, Aldana's face looked comparatively spruced up in the Instagram Story she shared, although her eye was still shut from swelling. She was seen putting on makeup on her face and was otherwise in a jovial mood.

Sean O'Malley needs surgery

During a recent livestream, Sean O'Malley told YouTuber Adin Ross that he could be taking a break from UFC for almost a year. 'Sugar' revealed that he suffered a torn cartilage in his left hip, for which he would undergo surgery next month:

"I have surgery on Oct. 3... I tore my labrum 10 weeks ago... I tore my left labrum in my hip. That's the only reason I'm gonna be out for so long. This surgery should only take like two months to come back from, then a couple of months of recovery. A year is a long time, could be six to eight months... You never know."

This revelation also points to the fact that O'Malley fought Merab Dvalishvili with an injury at Noche UFC, which would justify the lack of his usual firepower.

Terence Crawford addresses UFC broadcast mix-up

Whoever was in charge of labeling the name cards during the Noche UFC broadcast made a hilarious botch in an otherwise incredible spectacle. Midway through the event, the camera panned to Terence Crawford in the audience, but the name that popped up on the screen was "Kendrick Lamar."

Crawford addressed the matter in an interview with TMZ Sports. He said that he wasn't aware of the mistake and only came to know about it through online memes and DMs. 'Bud' laughed it off but said that it may have been an intentional gaffe.

"I just took a little chuckle... To be honest, I think it was intentionally done just for laughters because how can you get us mixed up.''
