Bellator 215: Mitrione vs Kharitonov saw Matt Mitrione enter the Octagon once again to face Sergei Kharitonov. Following his loss to Ryan Bader in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix, Mitrione has looked like he needed to get a win badly.

Notable Highlights from Bellator 215
While most of the card was good, the highlight of the night came from an unfortunate move which ended up costing Matt Mitrione everything and disappointed the audience who had been hoping for a proper main event for Bellator 215. After this, Bellator 216: MVP vs Daley will need to deliver to make up for the disappointment that was the main event of Bellator 215.
Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov had just gotten underway when Mitrione threw an unfortunate rising left kick which hit Kharitonov square on the groin. The fighter immediately went down on the ground and after wincing in pain turned on his back.
The doctors checked on him, but the force that the kick had behind it turned out to be far too much. He was not able to continue in the fight despite the allotted 5 minutes, and the fight ended in a No Contest.
Elsewhere on the card, Ion Pascu was unable to pick up his first Bellator MMA win as he was dominated by the force that is Logan Storley.
Storley got big takedowns in each round and kept him grounded for most of it. It was a clear victory for Storley.
All-told, the night was not the best one, due to the disappointing note it ended on. However, the rest of the card delivered when it came to action inside the Octagon.
