Bellator Newcastle Results: Big upset as favorite suffers first loss in 10 fights

#2 Chris Bungard vs. Terry Brazier (Lightweight)

Terry Brazier was ridding on a 10-fight win streak coming into this fight as he was the favorite to get another W on his resume against Bungard, who was on an 11-4 record.

Both men came out wearing black trunks with Brazier in red and Bungard in blue gloves.

Round 1: Brazier was the aggressor early on in the fight as he wrestled for position in the clinch while being pinned onto the fence. Bungard though was quite alert of his opponent's movements and position and attempted a takedown.

Bungard got Brazier down to one knee and easily got his back. Brazier just made a big mistake and we feel he'd realized it too. He flattened Brazier out, applied the hooks, and locked in the rear-naked choke. Brazier was forced to tap out. Simple and effective!

Result: Chris Bungard def. Terry Brazier via Submission (Read-Naked Choke) (2:06, Round 1)

The Bad Guy snapped the 10-fight win streak of 'The Dominator ' in a fight that went against the predictions of many. Bungard notched up his fourth straight win as he handed Brazier his first loss since November 2015.
