Undefeated Russian welterweight Murad Ramazanov is proving to be one of the most dominant wrestlers under ONE Championship's banner—and he credits some of his success to the great Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Since signing with the promotion, Ramazanov has a perfect 3-0 record with wins over Bae Myung-Ho, Hiroyuki Tetsuka, and Zebaztian Kadestam.

His toughest test to date will come at ONE on Prime Video 5 when he welcomes Roberto Soldic to the circle. As always, he'll enter with his wrestling prowess, some of which he learned from Khabib. He told the organization:

"If it wasn't for Khabib, I would have lost some of my core skills, trying to become a striker, a kickboxer. I would have lost my ability to control, my ability to finish the opponent on the ground."

Murad Ramazanov added, saying:

"He taught me that you have to start from your strong base and build yourself up, don't try to reinvent yourself."

The 27-year-old has managed to both submit and land heavy blows from top position throughout his career, which he'll look to do once more against Soldic.

Murad Ramazanov credits wrestling coach for convincing him to train seriously

The rising welterweight contender has been wrestling since an early adolescent, but he lost his motivation at one point. Luckily, he had an influential coach along the way who helped guide him. He told ONE:

“Wrestling classes were completely different. My new coach, Ponomarev, knew how to explain everything in a semi-playful way. He knew how to find a key to teach us. When I lost my enthusiasm after a week of training, he called me and persuaded me somehow to start training seriously, which I did.”

Ramazanov's match with Soldic will be a mix of styles inside the circle—a classic grappler versus striker contest. However, both talents have been warning one another of their well-rounded abilities.

Their bout will be the final non-title fight of the event. It's undeniably one of the most anticipated matchups on the stacked card.

Murad Ramazanov welcomes hyped newcomer Roberto Soldic to the circle at ONE on Prime Video 5 on December 2, live from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
