Jose Aldo plans to retire at the end of 2019

One of the greatest UFC Fighters to ever enter an Octagon, Jose Aldo is about to head into the first of his last three fights at UFC Fight Night 144 before retiring.

Jose Aldo is heading into UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes 2 as part of the co-main event of the night. His opponent for the night will be another talented individual, Renato Moicano.

Aldo has done everything he wanted to in his career and recently announced that he plans to retire from UFC at the end of 2019. After revealing his plans he said that it was because he wanted to spend more time with his family and live a healthy rest of his life where he would not have to spend money to remain fit.

With three fights in Brazil ahead of him, I was able to pose a few questions before Jose Aldo regarding his upcoming fights.

Tune in to Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD for all the action from UFC Fight Night 144: Assuncao vs Moraes 2.

Q. You revealed your plans to retire this year after three fights in Brazil. Looking back on your career what would be your favourite moment?

JA: The titles. I think the titles I earned will always be the best part of my career.

Q. For UFC 237, is there a potential opponent you have on your mind?

JA: Not yet. First of all, we are thinking about Saturday. ‪After Saturday, we'll see which are the best opponents.

Q. Ahead of your next fight against Renato Moicano, are there any thoughts going through your head, as this is the first of your last three fights?

JA: He´s a different fighter than any I have faced. I studied him a lot to be prepared for everything. I expect a great fight and the fans here in Fortaleza deserve that.
