Fans are praising Rodtang Jitmuangnon for shrugging off a monster right hand landed by Demetrious Johnson.
On March 26, 2022, Rodtang and ‘Mighty Mouse’ went toe-to-toe in a historic mixed-rules bout. In the first round, ‘The Iron Man’ had the advantage under Muay Thai rules. The reigning flyweight Muay Thai world champion had his moments, but Johnson surprised most by holding his own.
At one point, ‘Mighty Mouse’ landed a clean right hand. In typical Rodtang fashion, the Muay Thai superstar didn’t react to the punch that would knock out most fighters. ONE recently posted the highlight on Instagram with the caption:
“Anyone else would have been OUT 😱 Demetrious Johnson headlines our INAUGURAL U.S. event in a ONE Flyweight World Title trilogy match against Adriano Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video! 🏆 @rodtang_jimungnon @mighty"
Rodtang’s massive fanbase filled the comment section, including some saying:
“Typical Rodtang moment. Just ate it 😂”
“That was a light snack for Tang”
“Rodtang had to have the strongest chin on the planet dude unreal”
“Rodtang is a tank reinforced with another tank that's reinforced by a another tank.”
“Only Rodtang eats shots like that”
Rodtang’s Muay Thai experience wasn’t enough to put Johnson away. In the second round, ‘Mighty Mouse’ exposed ‘The Iron Man’ on the ground with a rear-naked choke that put the Thai superstar out cold. Since then, both fighters have returned to their preferred martial art discipline and continued to succeed.
