Days after Jake Paul's older brother accused Nate Diaz of avoiding a boxing match with him, it appears that the Stockton native is close to signing a deal to fight 'The Problem Child'.

The news was broken by @HappyPunchPromo on Twitter, who stated that sources close to the Diaz camp have confirmed negotiations between the parties.

"Jake Paul and Nate Diaz are nearing a deal to box, sources close to Diaz’s camp say."

'The Problem Child' rose to fame as a YouTube personality before transitioning to boxing. Paul has made a name for himself in the ring with a series of high-profile wins over fellow internet personalities and former professional athletes, such as Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.

Aldo, on the other hand, has built a reputation as one of the toughest and most durable fighters in the game, with a record of 21 wins and 13 losses. While he has never competed in a professional boxing match, Diaz has trained with undefeated former world champion Andre Ward for many years and has great boxing skills.

The potential match-up has already generated a lot of buzz on social media.

As of now, neither Jake Paul nor Nate Diaz have officially commented on their potential boxing match. However, if the reports are true, this could be one of the biggest boxing matches of the year, drawing in fans from both the MMA and boxing communities.

Jake Paul claims the video of Floyd Mayweather jumping him was a PR stunt

A viral video of Floyd Mayweather and his 20-odd-man entourage attempting to attack Jake Paul took the internet by storm several weeks ago.

The pair had previously had a scuffle at a media event for Mayweather's boxing match with Logan Paul in 2021, after 'The Problem Child' snatched the boxing icon's hat off of his head.

Following the viral video of 'Money' attempting to attack Paul, many believed that Mayweather still had beef with 'The Problem Child' over the past incident. However, during a recent interview with Wade Plem, Jake Paul claimed that the entire event was staged.

He said this:

"Yeah we were like, 'Let's set this up and let it go viral.' And viral it did [go]. It went on every single news page and outlet, we got exactly what we wanted out of it... We needed people to think it was real."
