India's Rahul K. Raju went head-to-head against Pakistan's Furqan Cheema in an MMA fighter at ONE: Edge of Greatness on Saturday, November 22 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Raju successfully defeated Cheema before the end of the second round, taking his current streak to two wins.

Raju submits an undefeated Cheema

'The Kerala Krusher' took on 'The Lion' in this fight which was sold as the one where India vs Pakistan went head to head in the cage. After an initially slow start, the action picked up late in the first round.

The referee had to stop the fight for a while because Furqan was grabbing the ropes. As a result of this, the referee showed him the yellow card, which meant that he lost 10% of his purse.

The action continued in the second round, where Raju wrestled Furqan into the corner of the ring, where he was able to take his back and get the chokehold locked in. While he could not stretch it into the lying down rear-naked choke, it was not required as the opponent had to submit, resulting in a second-round stoppage win for Rahul Raju.

With this fight, Raju has successfully held on to his winning ways which started with his submission victory over Richard Corminal at ONE: Enter the Dragon in March this year. Before that, he had three back to back losses at ONE to show for himself. Cheema, on the other hand, was undefeated so far in his professional career, but lost out to his Indian rival on his debut fight at ONE Championship.
