Welcome to today's edition of Sportskeeda's daily MMA News Roundup, where we present the biggest UFC updates and other stories from the world of mixed martial arts.

In today's issue, we talk about Jake Paul getting jumped by Floyd Mayweather, Dana White and the Power Slap League, and more.

#3. Jake Paul gets confronted by Floyd Mayweather

After the Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game, Floyd Mayweather and his massive entourage confronted Jake Paul on the street. As the tension rose, Paul took the wise call of fleeing the scene, given that he was only being protected by a security guard.

According to reports, Paul allegedly made fun of Mayweather's deceased family member, which enraged the boxer. Sources claimed that it was not a retaliation for the infamous 'hat snatching' incident ahead of Mayweather's fight with Jake's brother Logan Paul.

Jake Paul called out Floyd Mayweather for a "1 on 1" fight after the incident. He even claimed that 'Money's team has contacted his people for an exhibition fight several times.

#2. Dana White talks about why Power Slap League is no longer on PPV

The first season finale of Power Slap League was initially rumored to be broadcast on pay-per-view. It took fans by surprise when Dana White announced that it will be available for free on Rumble.

During the press conference yesterday, Dana White came clean about why they took the decision not to put a price on the final episode. He admitted that the slap gate incident involving his wife, Anne, on New Year's Eve definitely contributed to it:

"We said, 'Maybe we put it on TV and we build this whole social and digital plan around it and then it's a pay-per-view at the end.' ... I don't know if we're gonna do any views. We just started new social media platforms for this thing, and let's be honest, I didn't do myself any favors on New Year's Eve."

Dana White further added that given PSL's social media draw, it made sense to keep it that way.

#1. Joe Rogan opens comedy club - "You can’t fire me from my own club, b**ch!"

Along with being a podcaster, comedian, UFC commentator, and MMA enthusiast, Joe Rogan is now a comedy club owner as well.

After years of complaining about excessive censorship in comedy, Joe Rogan has finally opened his own comedy club on the historic Sixth Street in Austin, Texas.

The establishment, named Comedy Mothership, recently opened its doors after being in development for two years. The club sold out tickets for the premier within minutes.

The Hollywood Reporter attended the opening night performance by Joe Rogan, where he said:

"I’m drunk and on mushrooms in my new club! his is as high as I’ve ever been onstage. I need to connect with this moment … You can’t fire me from my own club, b**ch!"

The opening week is set to have a series of performances billed as 'Joe Rogan and Friends' and will feature his close friends Roseanne Barr, Tony Hinchcliffe, Ron White, David Lucas, and Tim Dillion.
