Multi-time ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes is walking into a massive trilogy bout with his rival Demetrious Johnson for the belt at ONE Fight Night 10.
Although the May 5 bout will be Johnson's first rubber match of his career, it won't be for 'Mikinho'.
Adriano Moraes went on a three-fight war with Filipino MMA legend Geje 'The Gravity' Eustaquio for the ONE flyweight throne. Their rivalry, which stretched from 2014 to 2019, was one of the most competitive in the organization's history.
In a famous moment that's been embedded in MMA lore, Moraes trapped Eustaquio in the dreaded "Suloev Stretch" in one of their battles. Eustaquio, being a member of the famous Team Lakay stable in the Philippines, showed extreme dexterity and flexibility in his legs as maintained composure and never tapped out.

Demetrious Johnson ready to entertain fans in Adriano Moraes trilogy bout at ONE Fight Night 10
At ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, ONE flyweight king and MMA legend Demetrious Johnson will compete in the first trilogy bout of his legendary career.
On May 5 at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, CO, 'DJ' will look to defend his flyweight throne against the only man to ever knock him out, Adriano Moraes.
The two elite fighters have already produced two of the greatest fights in the division's history in their first two encounters. Both have scored similar-looking knockouts over each other.
'Mikinho' and 'Mighty Mouse' will headline ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the US, and will introduce the organization to an American audience.
In a recent interview on the fightTIPS YouTube Channel, 'DJ' said that his most important goal come fight night is to put on a show for the American fans. He said:
“My main goal for that fight is to blow the f*cking roof off on that fight. I want people to keep saying, ‘I want to see you fight, I want to see you fight,’ whether I’m the champion or not, that's always my goal.”
If there's one thing we all know by now, there's no such thing as a boring Demetrious Johnson fight. The same can be said about Adriano Moraes.
