Dana White’s remarks about the reports of Francis Ngannou's potential UFC return have caught the attention of MMA fans worldwide. Many chastised White for swiftly rejecting Ngannou's UFC comeback, while expressing their concern regarding the heavyweight landscape.
Jones and Ngannou recently discussed their potential fight on X, with the reigning champion preferring to face Ngannou over interim champion Tom Aspinall. During the UFC 316 post-fight press conference this past weekend, White was asked about his thoughts on the matter. In response, the UFC CEO emphasized the title unification bout between Jones and Aspinall, saying:
''I don't have Ngannou on the contract, and Aspinall's the guy.''
White further declined to re-sign Ngannou, saying:

''Meh not gonna sign a guy that is one of the best heavyweights on the world ya know. Gonna keep making fights with Pavlovich because he brings the super fights. This is another reason this company is going to sh*t, this guy sucks''
''If Dana White says "meh, probably not," it usually means yes. He used to turn red and get all worked up whenever he talked about Francis. But the thing Dana loves more than anything is PPVs — and in this business, money talks. Ngannou will be back.''

Dana White shares positive update about the Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall fight
Jon Jones repeatedly rejected Tom Aspinall's callout and went on to defeat Stipe Miocic via third-round knockout at UFC 309 last year. However, Dana White is optimistic that their highly anticipated heavyweight clash will take place this year.
In the aforementioned UFC 316 post-fight press conference, White revealed that Jones has agreed to unify his title against Aspinall, saying:
''I’ve been saying it since the beginning. Jon Jones agreed to do the fight. Jon Jones was offered the deal and accepted the deal. Jon agreed to fight Tom, yes. You guys have heard me for the last however long, I guarantee this fight is going to happen. This fight’s going to happen. You guys told me the crazy shit that’s going on Instagram, and all these other places, but yes, I’ve been saying Jon is going to fight Tom.”
