29-year-old women's atomweight 'Lil' Savage' Alyse Anderson of the United States is highly motivated to get a victory this weekend, in her next fight for ONE Championship which is dedicated to her father.
Anderson's dad was recently diagnosed with cancer throughout his body, a grim family tragedy that almost forced 'Lil' Savage' to retire and give up on her fighting career early.
However, her dad is also Anderson's biggest fan, she wants to dedicate the remainder of her career to her ailing loved one.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Anderson shared what her father told her, which now serves as her motivation to continue fighting in the world's largest martial arts organization.
'Lil' Saveage' said:
"When my dad got diagnosed, I for sure thought I was gonna pull out of the fight, move home, and quit fighting in June. So, to go home for two weeks and have my dad tell me, ‘I don’t want you to give up, get back to Vegas, get back to work, and just get right back into it,’ it gave me the push to keep going. I just want to do my best on September 6."
Needless to say, Anderson is ready to give it her all when she steps into the ONE Championship Circle this weekend.
