At ONE Fight Night 10, Alyse Anderson has a huge opportunity on her hands. Not only will the Michigan native get to compete as part of ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the United States, she has drawn the biggest opponent of her career.

On May 5 in Broomfield, Colorado, Anderson will take on Stamp Fairtex with a chance to launch herself right to the top of the atomweight division with a win. After picking up her first victory inside the circle last time out, this fight is undoubtedly a big step-up against a top opponent on a huge stage.

Rather than being overwhelmed by this opportunity, Alyse Anderson is grabbing it with both hands and is excited to prove herself against the division’s finest.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, the 28-year-old American spoke about her contest with Stamp Fairtex and how she views the matchup:

“I think that I am most comfortable as a grappler, which is why I like this matchup. Because Stamp is a world-class kickboxer, but she does have holes in MMA, I see them in her grappling.”

ONE Fight Night 10 goes down live from the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, with some of the promotion’s biggest and best fighters competing. For North American viewers, the entire event will air live and free via Prime Video.

Alyse Anderson discusses her first experience fighting for ONE Championship

In September 2021, Alyse Anderson made her debut with ONE Championship when she fought in Singapore. Flying to a country she had never been to before to compete on a global stage would've been daunting, but the 28-year old took it in her stride.

Following the rollercoaster of emotions that was her first fight inside the circle, Anderson spoke about the experience in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA:

"I just remember being, 'Oh my gosh, this is huge.' I almost felt like it was the Olympics and I was fighting for my country and almost started crying because I was so excited just to be a part of it. Like, representing the United States. It's like, 'Oh my gosh, I can't believe, I'm the one here representing the US.'"

Anderson added:

"The actual experience of ONE, and the production, and how that was run was super professional. And I think that's what made me nervous, it's because it is a big stage. And like when they do the 'We Are ONE' with the fireworks at the beginning, you just realize like, 'Oh, you're like, not in Kansas anymore. Like, this is the big time.'"

After coming up short against Itsuki Hirata on her debut, Alyse Anderson rebounded with a win last time out to set up her next fight with Stamp Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 10.
