Anatoly Malykhin wasn’t surprised by the main event of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.

Having spent time around Chingiz Allazov in his preparations for his featherweight world championship matchup against Superbon Singha Mawynn, Malykhin knew that ‘Chinga’ would get the job done.

Many fans and fighters found the main event of ONE’s first event of the year tough to predict on paper due to both fighters' recent performances inside the circle.

After winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in 2022, Chingiz Allazov produced his best performance inside the circle to date by knocking out the pound-for-pound great Superbon in the second round.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Anatoly Malykhin spoke about his pre-fight predictions, which came true in front of his eyes on January 13:

“I also said that Superbon is very good on his feet, but he’s not a fighter of Chingiz’s level. During the last fight, Chingiz proved that he’s a class above Superbon.”

Malykhin watched the fight from the circleside, showing his support for ‘Chinga’ after sharing the mats with him at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket. Allazov produced the kind of performance that fans have grown accustomed to seeing from Malykhin since his ONE Championship debut in 2021.

Through his four appearances inside the circle, he has knocked out all of his opponents on his way to becoming the light heavyweight world champion and interim heavyweight titleholder.

Fabricio Andrade says Arjan Bhullar knows how "dangerous" Anatoly Malykhin really is

Fabricio Andrade, just like the ONE Championship fans, has waited a long time to see his friend and training partner Anatoly Malykhin fight for the unified heavyweight world championship.

The Russian behemoth has been waiting for heavyweight world champion Arjan Bhullar to return so that he can attempt to unify the world titles in the heavyweight division.

Not wanting to just wait around for Bhullar’s return, Malykhin moved down a division to face then-light heavyweight world champion Reinier de Ridder, shocking the world by knocking out the Dutchman.

With a second world championship hanging over his shoulders, the heavyweight division is ready to have its world championship belts unified.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Fabricio Andrade, who has supported Anatoly Malykhin in his recent triumphs, spoke about his anticipation for the long-awaited matchup:

“I'm very excited about this one. They've been talking for a while. You can see what is happening, Arjan knows how dangerous Anatoly is.”

Bhullar and Malykhin were scheduled to face each other last year, but it was postponed due to an injury to the world champion. They now have a new date set. On March 24, at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, they will hopefully put an end to the ongoing heavyweight saga.
