Anderson Silva was as gracious as ever in the post-fight press conference following his decision loss to Jake Paul.

The fight was a close contest up until the eighth round, where Paul dropped 'The Spider' with a powerful right hand. Many who were watching the fight felt that Silva was winning going into the final round. However, all three judges scored the bout in favor of 'The Problem Child', with two judges scoring it 78-73 and another scoring it 77-74.

Anderson Silva appeared in front of the media following his loss and spoke amiably about how he felt the fight went:

"It's important that people respect Jake's moment now. I'm a black samurai, you know. I know I lost. I know I failed my strategy and my opponent won. I'm not the same as the other guys who fought Jake, 'OHH I need revenge, I need a rematch!' I don't know, let's go see what happens."

Anderson Silva can't believe he let himself get knocked down in the last round, says he "failed his mission"

Anderson Silva was defeated by Jake Paul last night via a unanimous decision in a fight that was competitive until the last round.

Both men landed a similar number of punches but 'The Spider' appeared to be chasing a finish in the eighth round. Silva left himself vulnerable to a counter-punch due to his increased aggression and Paul capitalized on the Brazilian's mistake.

'The Problem Child' was able to land a powerful straight right hand that sent 'The Spider' to the canvas. This was ultimately the biggest moment of the fight.

While speaking to the media in his post-fight press conference, Silva said that he is still in shock for letting himself get caught in the final round:

"I spoke to my coach in our room. I said, 'I can't believe I got knocked down in the last round! That's stupid, I failed on the strategy.' That's how I feel. I spoke to my coach and I failed my mission. Now I'll go back home and train better and try to make the strategy correct next time."
