Andrew Tate is currently in Romanian prison, serving a 30-day extended detention after being arrested along with his brother Tristan on charges of human trafficking and rape. The self-proclaimed misogynist recently hired celebrity lawyer Tina Glandian, who has previously worked with Mike Tyson, as well as musicians Michael Jackson and Chris Brown.

Glandian recently revealed the expiry date of her client's current detention. While Tate's detention period ends on February 27, Glandian is expecting Romanian authorities to file another extension plea. The renowned attorney said in a recent interview with LBC:

"We're going to find out in the next several days the existing detention order expires on February 27th. And if the prosecution intends to extend that for another 30-day period, they'll have to make that request soon. And then we'll have a hearing on it. Obviously our hope is that at this point they are released and it's not extended but am I optimistic about that? No."

Two Romanian women, one of them a former police officer, were also arrested along with Andrew Tate and his brother. Tate's assets, including his fleet of luxury cars, were also seized by the authorities.

According to Tate's lawyer, assets worth $4 million that were seized by the officials gives them enough incentive to frame the controversial kickboxer and keep him in prison.

Authorities may already have filed for an extension of Andrew Tate's detention

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been accused of coercing victims into pornographic acts after seducing them with promises of marriage. One victim claims to have been forced to earn a minimum of €10,000 (£9,000) a month on social media platforms, under the threat of physical violence.

Explaining the initial 30-day extension of Tate's detention, the judge claimed that the brothers have a knack for identifying vulnerable victims and exerting complete psychological control over them.

As per the latest reports by a verified YouTube channel BSN, Romanian authorities have already filed another plea for an extended detention of 60 more days. One of the women arrested along with Andrew Tate is also reportedly being re-investigated by DIICOT.
