On August 2, Bastos had a life-changing opportunity to become the ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion. The Brazilian superstar overcame the adversity and accomplished her task with a unanimous decision win against inaugural title-holder Danielle Kelly.

Bastos' title-winning performance against Kelly was disputed by many fans due to the match being decided by a razor-thin margin. As a result, Bastos and Kelly faced each other in an immediate rematch at ONE Fight Night 26.

After going 2-0 against Danielle Kelly, it's safe to say that Bastos likely won't meet the American BJJ ace again in the foreseeable future.

While the Silver Fox BJJ affiliate can still work her way back to a world title shot, it will be interesting to see who will emerge as the next challenger for Mayssa Bastos' throne.

Mayssa Bastos vs. Danielle Kelly 2 wasn't only world title matchup at ONE Fight Night 26

On December 6, ONE Fight Night 26 took place inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. There were many matchups that caught the fan's attention, but all eyes were on the main event.

Following a two-year layoff, two-division MMA world champion Christian Lee returned to defend his lightweight MMA throne. Lee's highly-anticipated return was against undefeated challenger Alibeg Rasulov.

Lee showcased his world-class skillset in the first round, dominating Rasulov in various aspects. With that said, Rasulov started to gain momentum before tragedy struck at the end of round two.

Lee accidentally landed an eye poke that Rasulov couldn't recover from. The anti-climatic ending led to a no-contest, making a rematch necessary for 2025 following the birth of the two-division MMA world champion's third child.

The full replay of ONE Fight Night 26 is available on demand for Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
