Aung La N Sang happy for friend Martin Nguyen getting ‘a much-needed win’

Former two-division world champion 'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang trained alongside 'The Situ-Asian' Martin Nguyen to help the Vietnamese-Australian athlete get a much-needed win.

The two former double-world champions trained with each other at the world-class Kill Cliff FC gym in Florida, USA. It certainly paid off as Nguyen earned a dominant victory against Leonardo Casotti at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.

Seeing his training partner win, in an interview with Tom Taylor of SCMP MMA, Aung La described:

"Man, that was a much-needed win you know. So I’m very very happy. He spent 12 weeks at my house, away from his family on Christmas and New Years so to get that win it was satisfying man. It was a relief and joy to see my friend win, you know."

Aung La N Sang on ONE Fight Night 10

The May 5 fight card will be ONE Championship's first on-site event in the United States and will be hosted at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. Fans eagerly await to see all the action at ONE Fight Night 10, which includes superstars such as Stamp Fairtex, Sage Northcutt, Mikey Musumeci, Rodtang 'The Iron Man' Jitmuangnon, and many more world-class athletes.

Former two-division world champion Aung La will look to continue his winning ways against 'King Kong Warrior' Fan Rong. 'The Burmese Python' is currently on a two-fight TKO win streak and has the ONE middleweight world title in his sights. But first, he will need a win at ONE Fight Night 10.

On Instagram, Aung La N Sang is excited to compete stateside for the first time in a decade. He shared:

"Colorado 🏔️ here we come! 1st time in 10 years, I will be fighting in the USA 🇺🇸. Can’t wait to put on a show."
