Aung La N Sang is thrilled to compete at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.

‘The Burmese Python’ has been chosen to compete at ONE’s historic event on May 5. Not only is the Asia-based promotion’s first U.S. event on Cinco De Mayo, but they also recently announced that the venue has been sold out. Aung La expressed his excitement in an Instagram post that said:

“From no crowd to a sold-out crowd. @onechampionship 👏 👏 👏 Cinco de Mayo, Voy tomar TODOS!”

Aung La has been matched up against Fan Rong, who is coming off a submission loss against Vitaly Bigdash in December 2021. ‘The Burmese Python’ looks to extend his two-fight winning streak after securing back-to-back first-round finishes against Yushin Okami and Gilberto Galvao.

The Myanmar native isn’t the only exciting fighter at ONE Fight Night 10. In the main event, Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes meet for the third time with the ONE flyweight MMA world championship on the line. The event also features Sage Northcutt, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Stamp Fairtex, Reinier de Ridder, Mikey Musumeci, and more.

ONE Fight Night 10 can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.

What’s at stake for Aung La N Sang at ONE Fight Night 10?

A former two-division world champion, Aung La's ultimate goal is to return to a world championship bout and regain the middleweight throne. With a win at ONE Fight Night 10, ‘The Burmese Python’ might be able to secure a title shot or a number one contender opportunity.

During his post-fight interview at ONE Fight Night 6, Aung La had this to say about potentially fighting De Ridder again:

“I’ve been the most dominant champion so I mean, I feel like two finishes, two fights, I should be [next for the title] but it’s up to Chatri [Sityodtong] you know, I have more run in me and I need to make the most of it so it’s really up to Chatri and the ONE team, but I’m ready man.”

Before losing against Reinier De Ridder, Aung La N Sang was on a seven-fight unbeaten streak, including wins against Alain Ngalani, Ken Hasegawa x2, and Brandon Vera. The 37-year-old believes he has one more world championship run in him, which has been validated by his recent performances.

‘The Burmese Python’ will continue his redemption tour by adding Fan Rong to his list of conquests.
