Danial Williams has captured the fans’ curiosity with his firebrand style of fighting. He now plans to bring that exciting approach to ONE Championship’s kickboxing circuit.
The Australian striker has fought in Muay Thai and mixed martial arts, with both sports making use of the smaller four-ounce gloves.
In an interview with ONE Championship, however, Williams said that he wants to get back to kickboxing and fight in the sport’s bigger gloves.

Danial Williams said:
“I’m excited because I fought K1 in Japan before, fell short there. I feel like a completely different fighter now. I would love to see myself in the straight kickboxing rules with the big gloves.”
Williams, 29, is a WMC Muay Thai champion and also competed in Japan’s K1 promotion in 2015 before signing with ONE Championship in 2021. He’s since collected three wins in the circle while competing in both Muay Thai and MMA.
Williams made his ONE Championship debut in April 2021, when he went to war against Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a Muay Thai match at ONE on TNT I.
It was after his fight against Rodtang that Williams built momentum in the MMA circuit. He went on a three-fight winning streak, including knockout wins over Thai legend Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke and Zelang Zhaxi.
Danial Williams wants future matches against Joshua Pacio and Jarred Brooks
Competing against the best will always be an eventual reality for any high-level athlete and Danial Williams knows that. ‘Mini T’ is part of the stacked strawweight class in ONE Championship and he hopes to one day have matches against the top names in the division.
Williams, in an interview with ONE Championship, said that he hopes to one day get matches against ONE strawweight world champion Jarred Brooks and former strawweight king Joshua Pacio.
The Australian star noted that Brooks and Pacio own the top spots in the 125-pound division and watching the two rivals fight lit a fire in him to be a better fighter:
“I would love to fight those boys too in the future, man. They’re in the pinnacle, right? They’re good everywhere, striking and dominant on the ground. It just made it really exciting to see holes in both of their games. It keeps me motivated, seeing them fight and know it’s there for the taking."
