Anytime Christian Lee competes, you can expect to see members of his family in his corner, especially his older sister Angela Lee. Interestingly, according to Angela lee, this time around Christian will have almost the entire family in his corner for the biggest fight of his career.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Angela said the Lee family will be present in full force to support Christian for his upcoming welterweight world title contest:

“It’s just like old times for me and my family, this is always how we’ve done things. We’re pulling the whole crew wherever we go. Unfortunately Victoria’s the only one who didn’t make it this time around. She’s holding down the fort back in Hawaii. It’s really nice to have our whole family here, big team always.”

The family includes Angela and husband Bruno Pucci (who is also competing the same weekend at ONE 163), their daughter Ava Marie, Christian’s wife Katie and his daughter Alia Mae, of course, mother and father Jewelz and Ken, as well as Christian’s younger brother Adrian.

The only notable absence is 18-year-old Victoria Lee, who stayed back in Hawaii to prepare for her own circle return early next year.

Christian Lee gunning for champ-champ status against Kiamrian Abbasov

It’s not enough to have just one world title these days. That’s why Christian Lee is going for another one to join the exclusive club of champ-champs in MMA.

Lee will challenge reigning ONE welterweight world champion Kiamrian ‘Brazen’ Abbasov for his golden strap in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4, which will be broadcast live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, November 18.

The event is free for fans in the United States and Canada with a Prime Video subscription.

In a recent guest appearance on the MMA Junkie Podcast, Christian Lee talked about his mental approach to the Abbasov fight and the secret to his success:

“I’ve been in the fight game for a few years now. I'm able to just be calm, just approach my fight the same way I do in training. I'm able to think through the moment. I'm able to remember my strategy and just keep a clear mind. And I think that's what helped lead to my success in recent years.”

Christian Lee is fresh off a spectacular performance against Ok Rae Yoon in August to reclaim his ONE lightweight world title. If he can perform with the same level of dominance and unbridled violence he showcased in that fight, he should have no trouble taking care of business against Abbasov and adding another belt to his collection.
