At UFC 281, 'The Hangman' earned a convincing win against submission specialist Claudio Puelles, defeating the opponent via TKO in the second round of their fight.

In an interview with The AllStar following his latest win, the Kiwi fighter stated his willingness to go up against fighters who are currently cruising on win streaks:

"I went out there and fought an unranked guy [Claudio Puelles] coming up on a streak. Made him look silly and proved to everyone that I'm a caliber ranked fighter and I should be competing against the upper echelon guys of the division. I want to fight guys that are hungry. I want to fight guys that are on streaks. I want to fight guys with momentum that I can take from them."

Dan Hooker predicts the upcoming title fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski

UFC lightweight contender Dan Hooker has praised Islam Makhachev for being willing to take on the "difficult man" Alexander Volkanovski.

In a recent video uploaded to Israel Adesanya's YouTube channel, Hooker said Makhachev took a bold step by accepting the fight in Volkanovski's home country of Australia. He praised Makhachev for his courage and added that the fight would be an entertaining one.

Hooker said:

"For him [Makhachev] to get on the microphone straight after their [Makhachev vs. Oliveira] fight and call for another fight in his [Volkanovski's] own territory...but be willing to fly a very long distance. They [Makhachev's team] don't usually take those risks... I tip my hat to Makhachev because he's in for one hell of a fight. 'Volk's a difficult man to hold down and even harder to keep there. Yeah, he's in for a tough night."
