Brendan Allen has begun making a name for himself in the middleweight division and will be hoping to continue rising up the rankings. He'll have the chance to do so next time out, when he faces Jack Hermansson.

'All In' has come into a good vein of form inside the octagon and finds himself on a four-fight win streak, with the 185lber managing to earn three submission victories in that time. Since entering the UFC from Dana White's Contender Series, the well-rounded athlete has fought 11 times, winning a respectable nine during that time.

As announced on social media earlier today, Brendan Allen will get his first crack at a top 10 spot when he is welcomed into the cage by middleweight mainstay Jack Hermansson on June 3.

Brett Okamoto announced the news, reporting:

"Jack Hermansson and Brendan Allen have agreed to headline a UFC Fight Night on June 3... Nos. 10 and 12 in the current rankings. Allen looks to make it five in a row and add a big name to his title resume."

Last time out, Allen managed to bring an end to Andre Muniz's unbeaten run in the UFC by scoring a huge rear-naked choke submission over the Brazilian. After hurting and exhausting his opponent on the feet, the 27-year-old took full advantage of the grappling exchanges, subsequently securing the finish.

While the BJJ black belt has fought against notable fighters like Sean Strickland and Kevin Holland, his upcoming clash with Jack Hermansson will likely let the world know if he is capable of hanging with the elite in the weight class.

Brendan Allen vs. Jack Hermansson: Who else is fighting on June 3?

Although far from complete, the UFC Fight Night on June 3 is shaping up nicely and already has a number of high-profile matchups scheduled for the event, alongside the newly announced Brendan Allen vs. Jack Hermansson headliner.

Returning to bantamweight after an unsuccessful debut at 125 pounds, Miesha Tate is hoping to make yet another push towards UFC gold. She will have to bypass the grappling wizardry of Brazil's Mayra Bueno Silva.

A blockbuster flyweight brawl that has all the ingredients to steal the show and potentially produce a fight-of-the-year contender will also commence in three months' time, when Kai Kara-France tests his power against the rising Amir Albazi.

The dangerous Allan Nascimento will look to extend his winning run to three straight on the card, but will have to be at his very best if he wants to overcome the constant threat of Tim Elliot.
