Britain's 'Hitman' Liam Harrison is dedicated to getting back in the ONE circle as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the Muay Thai legend is struggling a little bit due to injuries. Harrison had two fights in 2022 and wants to get back to action but requires surgery first.

This year, 'Hitman' first traded knockdowns against Muangthai PK. Saenchai in what was one of the most exciting fights of the year. Next, he faced Nong-O Gaiyanghadao for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai throne, but lost due to injury from the heavy leg attacks from the Thai-born legend.

On Instagram, Harrison discussed some of the injuries he is facing. He shared:

"Happy new year everyone …gonna be a tough start to the year, surgery later this month then a serious amount of rehab. I’ll be back teaching seminars in the summer time and back in the ring the start of autumn."

The British-born Muay Thai fighter went on to explain that he will keep busy with podcasting and promoting the Hitman Fight League in the UK. The fighter himself is uncertain when he will be able to get back in the ONE circle.

Liam Harrison on his 2022

With one incredible win and one unfortunate loss in 2022, Liam Harrison reflected back on the year that he had in ONE Championship. Speaking to ONE in an interview, the British fighter said:

“This sport gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows. Obviously, the Muangthai fight was about as high as you can get, and then the rest of the year for me has been a low."

Liam Harrison continued:

“I got injured in the Nong-O fight, I’m injured again now, and it’s gonna be a very tough road back to get myself where I want to be. Unfortunately, I think when you have 120 fights, and you fight the way I do, and you train the way I do, it was bound to happen at some point.”

Liam Harrison is determined to be back in the ONE circle competing in Muay Thai, a place which he feels is his home. The British striking veteran continued:

"I’m mentally strong. If anyone’s going to come back from [a second surgery], it’s going to be me.”
