“I'm really fired up to come back” - Chatri Sityodtong excited for ONE Championship’s return to Manila

In less than two weeks, ONE Championship will return to action with back-to-back events, including ONE on Prime Video 5 and ONE 164. Emanating from the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, fans will be treated to two massive main events.

Following the events of ONE on Prime Video 4 this past weekend, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong shared his excitement for the promotion’s return to Manila on December 2:

“Oh, I'm very excited about Manila. We haven't been back for almost three years because of the pandemic in Asia. All the countries were shut down even until recently. Japan just opened up a couple of weeks ago. The borders are still closed. China just opened last week. So I think now Asia is fully, I mean, the next three to six months is going to fully open.”

Sityodtong continued to discuss ONE’s return to Manila by saying:

“I'm really fired up to come back to Manila, obviously. It's literally one of the greatest countries for fight fans, full stop, in terms of combat sports lovers. And obviously, ONE has a huge base there. Being the number one or number two sports property every week in the Philippines in terms of TV viewership.”

ONE Championship delivers in Manila with back-to-back events this December

When ONE Championship makes its return to Manila, it will do so with two incredible events, each anchored by massive headliners. The first, on December 2, will feature undefeated two-division world champion ‘The Dutch Knight’ Reinier de Ridder defending his light heavyweight crown against the current interim heavyweight world champion, Anatoly Malykhin. That’s just one of four massive world title fights featured on the ONE on Prime Video 5 card.

Just a few hours later, ONE will return with ONE 164, headlined by hometown hero Joshua ‘The Passion’ Pacio, the promotion’s reigning ONE strawweight world champion. He defends his title in a long-awaited showdown with ‘The Monkey God’ Jarred Brooks. The event will also feature the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix final between ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Panpayak Jitmuangnon.

ONE on Prime Video 5 will air live and free for Amazon Prime Video subscribers. Hours later, fans in North America can watch ONE 164 live on ONE Championship’s YouTube channel.
