Kade Ruotolo recently posted a highlight reel showing his historic ADCC 2022 run.

Submission grappling has experienced massive growth this year with the help of young superstars like the Ruotolo brothers. Kade, 19, was an essential contributor after putting the combat sports world on notice at the ADCC tournament in September.

Ruotolo became the youngest champion in ADCC history after submitting all four of his opponents - Lachlan Giles, Roberto Jimenez, PJ Barch and Micael Galvao. Ruotolo posted an impressive highlight reel from the tournament with the caption:

“ADCC 2022 HL @adcc_official @flograppling 🙏🏽”

Ruotolo’s biggest tournament win came in the finals against Galvao, a young rising star in the BJJ community. Yet, Kade wasn’t satisfied with becoming the youngest ADCC champion.

The 19-year-old went on to win two matches in ONE Championship, including the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world title, which he is looking to defend for the first time at ONE on Prime Video 5.

Kade Ruotolo is keeping his promise of being an active world champion. The ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion won the title less than two months ago, and he’s returning at ONE on Prime Video 5 for his first title defense. Ruotolo will take on former IBJJF world champion Matheus Gabriel in the co-main event.

Tye Ruotolo, Kade’s twin brother, is looking for his second ONE Championship submission grappling win against former ONE featherweight world champion Marat Gafurov on the undercard. With a win against Gafurov, Tye will be one step closer to competing against his twin brother for the ONE lightweight world title.

ONE on Prime Video 5 can be watched for free by Amazon Prime subscribers across North America. In the main event, two-division world champion Reinier de Ridder puts his light heavyweight world title on the line against current interim heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin.

The fight card also features an atomweight Muay Thai world title fight between Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and Janet Todd, Roberto Soldic’s highly anticipated debut, and more.
