This Friday night, ONE lightweight world champion Christian Lee will go for double-gold when he challenges reigning welterweight world titleholder Kiamrian Abbasov in the ONE on Prime Video 4 main event.

At just 24 years old, ‘The Warrior’ has earned 16 career wins with an incredible 15 by way of finish. Scoring another big win for his record this weekend will add his name to the short list of two-division world champions and solidify himself as one of the pound-for-pound greatest fighters in the world today.

During an appearance on the MMA Junkie Podcast, Christian Lee discussed hypothetical meetings with some other pound-for-pound greats, including Khabib Nurmagomedov’s champion protege, Islam Makhachev. Other lightweight stars discussed in the conversation were Raush Manfio and Patricky Pitbull:

“Yeah, I think if you were to put the four of us in one tournament, I think for sure it would be me and Islam in the finals. I have a lot of respect for Islam. He had a great performance in capturing the lightweight title. But I believe that I would win that fight, for sure.”

Christian Lee’s welterweight title bid against Kiamrian Abbasov can be seen live and for free on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription on Friday, November 18.

Christian Lee inspired by ONE on Prime Video 4 co-main eventer Joseph Lasiri

Christian Lee isn’t the only fighter going for a second ONE world championship at ONE on Prime Video 4 this Friday. ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph ‘The Hurricane’ Lasiri will step into the circle amidst one of the greatest turnarounds in MMA history to challenge flyweight titleholder Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Starting his ONE Championship career with a disastrous 0-4 record, things seemed to be falling apart for Lasiri. Then he got his first win. Then another. Before long, ‘The Hurricane’ was a ONE world champion and now he’s fighting for the chance to have a second belt wrapped around his waist.

It’s a Rocky-Esque comeback story that has inspired many fans and fighters, including Christian Lee:

“I like Joseph Lasiri, I've seen him fight. For a long time, he was one of those guys that I saw fighting early on when I was fighting for the lightweight title as well. So yeah, I'm a fan of his career, on how he went from being a guy who took a few losses early on in his career in ONE Championship to now winning the title, so I hope he does well.”
