Lovable veteran Clay Guida is returning to action later this year at the ripe old age of 41, as he hopes to extend his winning run inside the octagon to two straight when he faces Rafa Garcia on April 15.

The previous time 'The Carpenter' entered the octagon, he faced off with fellow lightweight mainstay Scott Holtzman in a tough bout where he earned a split decision victory. The aging fighter has enjoyed his fair share of ups and downs in the sport, winning three of his last six against some high-level competition.

In a post on social media earlier this week, Rafa Garcia announced that he will be welcoming fan-favorite Clay Guida into the cage as he, too, looks to extend his record to four wins from his last five under the UFC banner.

"April 15th!! See you in Kansas City!! Will rumble El Cachanilla, we go back to the octagon and we are ready to go out to war and leave with our hands raised. Pure Chicali and Imperial Valley go for everything and with everything."

Despite a rocky start to life in the UFC, Rafa Garcia seemingly found his feet in the promotion and began to show just how well-versed he is in all areas of mixed martial arts.

The highlights of the Mexican's career thus far came with wins over the previously undefeated Natan Levy, a submission over the experienced Jesse Ronson, and a decision victory over 23-year-old prospect Maheshate Hayisaer.

At just 28 years of age, 'Gifted' will gain valuable lessons for the remainder of his career just by competing against an athlete who has been competing in the sport for about two decades.

Clay Guida is set to strap on UFC gloves for the 35th time when he locks horns with the much younger lightweight Rafa Garcia on April 15. But who else is fighting at the event?

The Kansas City card will see the return of Max Holloway, when he collides with Arnold Allen in the main event. 'Blessed' last competed in the octagon when he faced Alexander Volkanovski in a trilogy bout in July last year.

A heavy-hitting affair between Martin Buday and Jake Collier, the grappling wizardry of Gillian Robertson welcomes the undefeated Piera Rodriguez, and a bantamweight showcase involving Chris Gutierrez and Pedro Munhoz will also be on show on April 15.
