Aung La N Sang may have a future in coaching once he decides to hang up the gloves.

‘The Burmese Python’ is slated for a return to the circle on May 5 when ONE Championship makes its long-awaited North American debut. ONE Fight Night 10 will invade the 1stBank Center in Colorado and play host to the biggest names in ONE, including the Myanmar superstar.

Before gunning for his third-straight win, Aung La N Sang sat down with The MMA Superfan. During their conversation, ‘The Burmese Python’ spoke about the joy and knowledge he gained from helping his teammates at the gym and in their corner:

“I don’t know, man. I enjoy helping my training partners out and I want them to do well... I like to do that because I like to help my friends out. When I’m watching them and cornering them, it also improves my fight IQ before my fights. I like it, you know.”

Aung La N Sang has seen a bit of a resurgence as of late after losing two out of three bouts, including two ONE world titles. After regaining some momentum following a first-round knockout of Japanese legend Yushin Okami at ONE 163, ‘The Burmese Python’ made it two in a row with another opening-round KO against Brazilian legend Gilberto Galvao.

Standing in his way of a third-straight victory inside the circle will be the ‘King Kong Warrior’ Fan Rong. The Chinese standout will look to get back into the win column after a third-round submission loss at the hands of former ONE middleweight world champion Vitaly Bigdash.

Aung La N Sang will look for a finish against Fan Rong by any means necessary

Aung La N Sang is determined to earn an opportunity to once again challenge for the ONE middleweight world championship. A third straight victory against a well-rounded opponent like Fan Rong could go a long way in making that happen.

‘The Burmese Python’ is going into his ONE Fight Night 10 showdown with Rong ready to win by any means necessary, even if that means taking things to the mat:

“We’ll see you know, but from my scouting reports he’s actually a grappler too... Just, he’s more of a grappler too so I don’t know. If the opportunity presents itself [then] yes, but you know what my game is. Everybody knows what my game is. I’m looking for a finish and if it means grappling, I will grapple. If it means striking, I will strike but I’m gonna look for a finish.”

Amazon Prime Video subscribers can catch ONE Fight Night 10 live and for free in U.S. primetime on May 5.
