Conor McGregor has had enough of his inconsistent octagon time, resulting in losses and injuries, keeping him away from the game.

'The Notorious' has wrapped up shooting for season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. In his second appearance on the show, he coached against Michael Chandler, whom he will fight later this year. In an interview on My Mom's Basement with Robbie Fox, he spoke about how he wants to fight more fights this year and how he is tired of hearing criticism about his inconsistency:

"I hope for a hundred fights, I hope for a hundred more fights. I'm working for consistency. I've been getting this on, off, on, off nonsense for too long. It's via, fight politics, via injuries, via just life, it does happen you know, it's God's plan. It's all God, so I accept and understand it. But I'm excited and I'm hopeful that I can get a nice consecutive run of bouts."

Conor McGregor has not fought since that fateful night in 2021 when he broke his leg in his fight against Dustin Poirier and lost the fight as a result of that. He will return to the Octagon this year, most probably at a different weight class, and will look to become champion again.

Conor McGregor gives his prediction on his fight against Michael Chandler

As Conor McGregor gets closer to making his return to the octagon, he has gotten more involved with the company, giving interviews and going for UFC fights. In the same interview with Robbie Fox, 'The Notorious' spoke about his upcoming fight against Michael Chandler and how he is 'too slick' for Chandler to handle:

"For Chandler, I'm just too slick for him, too skilled for him. And he's not fought someone like me though. Just in general, it's the kind of mixed martial arts style right? It's just kind of MMA isn't it? Throughout the years, so it's nothing peculiar or unsure of, I've fought against that style many many years."

Conor McGregor went on to give credit to Michael Chandler for his MMA journey, rising through the ranks of a smaller promotion and breaking into the UFC. However, McGregor has taken it upon himself to show the world the skill disparity between the two come fight night. He believes he is too skillful for Chandler to handle.
