As the UFC antitrust lawsuit begins to conclude in 2024, another wrinkle in the case has developed. As an investigative journalist covering the case revealed, some of the promotion's richest fighters could benefit the most.

John S. Nash and Stephie Hayes released a two-episode series on the Hey Not the Face! podcast detailing the latest update on the case, released on June 4 and June 6, respectively. Nash and Hayes angled the podcast toward fighters, covering information on the money they can expect to receive and how to retrieve it.

Specifically, Nash reported that 75 percent of the total $215 million payout will go to all UFC fighters who fought for the company from 2010 to 2017 — classified as the Le Class Period, courtesy of Cung Le.

In the first episode of the segment, Nash broke down the details using Conor McGregor as an example, saying:

"Conor McGregor made 27 million during the [Cung Le] class period from 2010 to 2017. We know that because the trial revealed that. So that 27 million would be about 4.85 percent of the total amount of earnings paid out compensation during the Le class period. So that means he gets 4.85 percent of that 129 million, so about $6 million will be going to him."

Per Nash, the other 25 percent of the $215 million will go to eligible fighters who competed in the UFC beyond 2017 — classified as the Johnson Settlement Class Period.

What is Conor McGregor's total net worth?

It is well known that MMA has never been the most lucrative business for athletes to become involved in, but Conor McGregor has been the one fighter to rise above the rest.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, McGregor is the wealthiest MMA fighter of all time, owning a net worth of roughly $200 million. This number is as of April 2024, before his UFC 303 headlining bout with Michael Chandler and the reported payout he is set to receive from the antitrust lawsuit settlement.

McGregor has made a name for himself in the octagon but has built his brand in other industries, including his investment in several alcoholic products and founding the McGregor Fast and McGregor Sports & Entertainment brands.
