UFC veteran Cynthia Calvillo is preparing to make a comeback in the strawweight division, as she gears up to face former LFA champion Lupita Godinez at the upcoming UFC 287 event on April 9.

After struggling to find success in the flyweight category, Calvillo hopes that dropping back down to 115 pounds will reignite her career and help her regain her winning form.

The seasoned fighter faces a tough opponent in 'Loopy', who boasts an impressive record of 8-3 and is widely regarded as one of the rising stars in the sport.

Cynthia Calvillo measures 5 feet 4 inches in height and boasts a reach of 64.0 inches. In comparison, her upcoming opponent Lupita Godinez stands at 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a slightly shorter reach of 61.0 inches.

The height and reach differences between the two fighters may play a crucial role in the upcoming match, as both attributes can impact a fighter's ability to land strikes and defend against attacks. With a longer reach, Calvillo may have an advantage in keeping her opponent at a distance and landing blows from afar. However, Godinez's shorter stature may allow her to move more nimbly and execute swift strikes at close range.

While both combatants will weigh 115 pounds, Cynthia Calvillo will have a modest size edge due to her height.

Cynthia Calvillo declines to compete in Texas following a judging debacle

In preparation for her upcoming match against Lupita Godinez at UFC 287 on April 9th, Cynthia Calvillo has expressed her dismay at the judging at the recent UFC San Antonio event. The Californian fighter, who is returning to the strawweight category, has stated that she was taken aback by the way the matches were scored and has no intention of fighting in Texas again in the future.

The 35-year-old recently spoke with Middle Easy about judging in the Texas event and if she'd ever fight there:

"I don’t want to fight in Texas. I was like this sh*t was crazy. Like even like the split between Chito and Sandhagen. I was like, what was going on here?"
