Dante Leon invites aspiring grapplers to ONE Championship: "This should be the place"

Canada's Dante Leon is one of the latest submission grappling stars to join the ONE Championship roster.

The promotion has signed some of the top talent in the sport in recent years as it continues to showcase the very best of martial arts across the board.

Leon is yet another piece in that puzzle as a highly regarded lightweight competitor who has already proved what he is capable of on the world's stage.

He's now looking to put together a run in ONE Championship which will only continue to show that he's one of the very best.

At ONE Fight Night 26 on December 6, he opened his account in the promotion by submitting Bruno Pucci in a ruthless display of what he's capable of.

After the fight, he had a clear and to the point message for other top competitors that are out there right now.

Speaking in an interview with the promotion, he thinks that if you want to prove you're the best of the best, ONE is the place to do it:

"It's plain and simple. If you consider yourself to be the best grappler, or you want to be the best grappler, or you're striving to be the best grappler, this should be the place that you're trying to come to."

ONE Championship fans have only got a glimpse of Dante Leon based on his debut performance at Lumpinee Stadium.

His ability to submit Pucci so early on has set a high bar for what fans can expect from him going forward, but he's only just getting started.

Grappling fans will also know that Leon likes to test himself against larger opponents and has been incredibly successful when competing in higher weight classes and absolute divisions.

The 29-year-old is here to test himself, and now, he wants others to come and do the same.
