“Who’s going to kill these motherf***ers, man?” - DC’s overpowered characters don’t sit well with Demetrious Johnson

ONE's flyweight champion has got something to say about DC's heroes

'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson knows a thing or two about looking unstoppable.

One of the greatest fighters in MMA history, Johnson recently avenged his only loss in ONE Championship by stopping Adriano Moraes to become the ONE flyweight world champion at ONE on Prime Video 1. ‘Mighty Mouse’ went undefeated from 2012 to August 2018 but he has an issue with the nature of some of DC’s most-beloved caped heroes.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Demetrious Johnson vented his frustrations after watching the latest release from DC, Black Adam:

“The biggest thing I don’t like about Superman, and Black Adam, and f***ing Shazam is these [DC] superheroes are too f***ing strong. Who’s going to kill these mother***ers, man? That’s what I like about Thanos. Thanos could die. He’s like a being that can be killed. But he had the Infinity Gauntlet, and an army. When you look at Superman and Black Adam, it’s obvious they can’t die. Unless you have the Eternium or you have Kryptonite, you can hurt them. So you have these two f***ing guys fight each other the whole time and no one’s going to give up.”

Adding a positive spin, Johnson did praise one aspect of the movie:

“But Dr. Fate was my favorite part. I would love to see him have a standalone movie. I would love to see Pierce Brosnan do his backstory of Dr. Fate, he was amazing to watch.”

“I love the whole thing, and I love the actor Tatiana” - Demetrious Johnson hopes for big things for She-Hulk

Demetrious Johnson has always been a champion for the things he is passionate about. Whether it’s combat sports, gaming or in this case, superheroes.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the flyweight champion shared his thoughts on the somewhat controversial reception to Marvel Studios’ most recent project. She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslany, became the internet's hot talking point during its nine episode roll out on Disney+.

Whilst the series may have divided opinions, Demetrious Johnson shared his opinion on the series and it titular character:

“I actually enjoyed She-Hulk, didn’t really care about the finale. I hope to see it on the big screen. I love her powers, I love the whole thing, and I love the actor Tatiana [Maslany]. She’s an amazing actor and I love the story of She-Hulk. I hope to see it on the big screen.”

He added:

“Yeah, the finale felt flat. I totally agree. With all of them dropping down there and fighting, it’s like c’mon now. And Hulk bringing out his son, I’m like Jesus Christ, I thought you guys ran out of content.”
