Yes. Glover Teixeira and Alex Pereira both train together for their UFC bouts at Teixeira's gym in Connecticut. Teixeira even cornered his Brazilian teammate at UFC 281, with 'Poatan' lifting the UFC middleweight title after beating Israel Adesanya at the pay-per-view event.

Despite training together, the former UFC light-heavyweight champion isn't keen on sharing the stage with Alex Pereira. Teixeira wasn't completely against the idea of sharing a fight card with Pereira, but would rather avoid the situation:

While speaking to MMA Junkie, Texeira stated (transcribed via Bloody Elbow):

"That’s (fighting on the same card) a little bit too much. I like to be there for him and same thing, he likes to be there for me. That’s why he didn’t fly to Brazil because of this fight. He was trying to go back to Brazil right away, but then he’s like, ‘ You know, I’m going to wait for your fight,’ and then he waited around and (the cancellation) happened. We’re there for each other, but if it happens, it happens. It would be a beautiful thing. We’d deal with any situation."

The training the two Brazilians are doing in Connecticut is clearly working, with both fighters lifting gold in recent history. Glover Teixeira lost his light-heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 275. Alex Pereira is yet to defend his middleweight belt after beating 'The Last Stylebender' at UFC 281.

Who has the better UFC record between Glover Teixeira and Alex Pereira?

Alex Pereira has risen quickly since joining the UFC and currently has a perfect 4-0 record in the organization. During these bouts, Pereira has beaten the likes of Andreas Michailidis, Bruno Silva, Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya.

Despite being in the organization much longer than 'Poatan', Glover Teixeira still has a good record in the UFC. The Brazilian currently has a record of 16-6 in the organization, lifting the light-heavyweight title and beating fighters such as Jan Błachowicz, Jared Cannonier and Anthony Smith.

Neither fighter currently has a bout booked under the UFC banner, with both Brazilians recently fighting in the organization. Glover Teixeira was meant to fight this weekend against Jiří Procházka, but the Czech fighter pulled out due to injury.
