Fabricio Andrade and Stamp Fairtex are two of the top strikers in ONE Championship. Easily identifiable as the two most dangerous sharpshooters in their respective weight classes, both have a diverse arsenal of weapons at their disposal.

Whilst Fabricio Andrade has always been an overall MMA fighter, this wasn’t the case for Stamp Fairtex. Over the years, we’ve seen her adapt her game to compliment her world-class striking ability, which saw her become a simultaneous Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion in ONE.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Fabricio Andrade praised the improvements that Stamp has made throughout her time competing in the atomweight MMA division:

“I know Stamp is doing really good, I was so impressed with her past fights, the way that she would submit like, those girls because she’s a Muay Thai fighter. You saw that she’s been doing a lot of training in jiu-jitsu and wrestling, and she has a good ground game. Of course, Stamp is training for years now so it’s gonna be very interesting to see that one.”

At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13, Stamp will look to use her entire skillset when she faces elite striker Anissa Meksen in the promotion’s second-ever mixed-rules fight. The event is live and free for North American Prime Video subscribers.

“My life has really changed a lot” - Fabricio Andrade on his growing popularity after fight with John Lineker

Though his year may have ended without the bantamweight world championship wrapped around his waist, Fabricio Andrade had a great 2022.

After making his ONE Championship debut in 2020, the 25-year old evolved into a star this previous year. After putting together a five-fight win streak under the ONE banner with four finishes, Andrade proved himself to be one of the most exciting fighters in the division.

With his flamboyant looks to go with it, Andrade is a must-watch fighter in MMA. At ONE on Prime Video 3, he had the chance to reach another level of fame.

Though he did a lot of things right in the biggest fight of his career to date against John Lineker, Andrade was unable to walk away with the bantamweight world championship after the fight ended in a no contest.

Despite Andrade landing the unintentional foul that caused a disappointing end to a great contest, he emerged with all of the plaudits for his performance. Through his display in the fight, ‘Wonder Boy’ gained a lot of fans due to his fighting style and can’t look back on it with too much regret.

He recently told ONE Championship:

“It happened really fast and my life has really changed a lot and to see all this like coming to reality, all these stuff that I dreamed my whole life, you know, is a feeling that’s even harder to explain.”

At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Fabricio Andrade has the opportunity to set the record straight when he faces John Lineker in a rematch for the vacant world championship.
