Fabricio Andrade is laser-focused on what is undeniably the most important fight of his mixed martial arts career.

The heavy-handed Brazilian will head to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium on February 24 for a highly anticipated rematch with former ONE bantamweight world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker. The two warriors will square off once again to crown a new bantamweight king in the ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video main event.

With their showdown right around the corner, Fabricio Andrade spoke with The MMA Superfan to share his thoughts on the impending world title clash. Asked about what comes next should he capture the ONE world title, Andrade opted to focus on the task:

“There are a lot of options, but what matters now is what is in front of me and that's John Lineker. So I need to go there. I need to knock him out. And after that, I'm going to sit with ONE Championship and we're going to see what is the best thing to do after.”

The two Brazilian strikers clashed in October with 26.4 pounds of ONE gold on the line, but an ill-placed knee resulted in the bout being dubbed a no-contest. Fans in North America can catch the rematch live and for free on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.

Fabricio Andrade will have the home field advantage against John Lineker

Fabricio Andrade may not be competing against John Lineker in their native Brazil at ONE Fight Night 7, ‘Wonder Boy’ will still have a home-field advantage of sorts when the two stars lock up under the bright lights of the newly renovated Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. Andrade has been a familiar face in the country, calling Thailand his home away from home for the past several years:

"When I got the news that I was fighting in Bangkok, I got really happy, really excited. I've been living in Thailand for five years. This is basically my second home. Honestly, if I had to pick a place besides Brazil to fight in, it would be Thailand. I'm very happy to fight here."

Starting this year, the iconic combat sports venue is playing host to multiple ONE Championship events, including a weekly Friday Fights series that will showcase some of the best Muay Thai practitioners in the world. The events will also play host to MMA, kickboxing, and submission grappling showcases every Friday throughout 2023.

Fans can watch ONE Friday Fights live on ONE Championship’s YouTube channel, watch.onefc.com, and on the ONE Super App.
