Apart from showcasing her skills as a submission grappler, American fighter Danielle Kelly has grown to appreciate engaging with fans under ONE Championship.

Since joining the promotion early last year, the Silver Fox BJJ standout shared that it has been an exciting journey for her so far, not only in competition but also outside of it.

Danielle Kelly recently engaged with fans with a “caption this” challenge over Instagram, with a video showing her in one of ONE Championship’s press conferences. The post drew hilarious responses.

Below are what some of the fans wrote:

@ryeyou01: Just hoping no one ask me a question
@adrianboucek: “Don’t look at the camera… don’t look at the camera… they told me not to look at the camera…”
@amandaleve_mma: When the starbies starts to hit. 😂
@ybl_levi: when youre trying to pay attention to someones story but you hear "BJJ" in the distance
@jpd68011: You are pretending to be on a boat?
@americanspartan1775: You wondering how to submit your next opponent. 🥋
@buddytalley: This is that look your girl gives you when she wants to leave
@mcuellarjr: “Another cup of coffee?”

In a little over a year with the promotion, Kelly has compiled a record of two wins and a draw. Her latest victory came in February at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video over Japanese star Ayaka Miura by unanimous decision.

“I felt really comfortable” - Danielle Kelly feels she’s getting better at promoting her fights

When she began her ONE Championship journey last year, Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Danielle Kelly said one of the things she had to learn was how to promote her fights.

The American submission grappling ace admitted to struggling with it early on but as she established her footing in the promotion, she has become accustomed to it.

Speaking to ONE Championship, Danielle Kelly said:

“I think this time around, I'm used to the interviews, I was used to seeing everyone again. Everyone I met before, I saw again. I felt really comfortable.”

Kelly has three fights under her belt under ONE, two of which earned her a $50,000 performance bonus.

She is looking to keep herself busy this year, competing and at the same time showcasing the sport of submission grappling and furthering its growth within the promotion.
