Floyd Mayweather has shown proof of his 100 million dollar check against Conor McGregor.

In 2017, fans got to see two of the biggest stars in combat sports collide. 'Money', one of the greatest boxers on the planet, took on 'The Notorious', the two-weight UFC world champion. Heading into the contest, few gave the Irishman a shot to win.

However, he captured the imagination of fans in the build-up to the fight. McGregor and Mayweather put on a promotional masterclass as they held four press conferences that summer across the globe to hype the contest. Ultimately, the two helped sell 4.3 million pay-per-view buys.

As for the fight itself, Conor McGregor came out firing early. 'The Notorious' dominated much of the early action as Mayweather rolled with most of the shots. However, the boxer came storming back in the second half of the bout.

The former champion wound up winning with a 10th-round stoppage. Although McGregor thought the stoppage was premature, he couldn't be too mad at the defeat. He went 10 rounds with one of the greatest ever and got paid to do so.

However, he didn't get paid nearly as much as Floyd Mayweather. The boxer was reportedly paid $100,000,000 for the contest, which would make sense considering it's one of the biggest boxing matches ever.

Following the win over Conor McGregor, he even took to Instagram to showcase the 100 million dollar check.

Floyd Mayweather 100 million dollar check: How much did Conor McGregor make?

Conor McGregor didn't get a 100 million dollar check like Floyd Mayweather, but he made out well.

Following his defeat to 'Money', the former UFC dual-weight champion stayed out of action for over a year. One has to figure out whether getting the biggest payday of his career likely played a role in that.

For his sole boxing match, Conor McGregor made a confirmed $30 million dollars. Unlike Floyd Mayweather, he didn't show any checks or anything like that. However, the former UFC champion's purse was confirmed by the athletic commission.

Interestingly enough, while Mayweather and McGregor both made millions, they also made more than many assumed. Thanks to pay-per-view buys, as well as proceeds from ticket sales and more, the two made a lot more than initially thought.

Following the fight, it was revealed that the former boxing champion pulled in upwards of $285 million. Meanwhile, McGregor reportedly earned around $85 million.
