Tyron Woodley reigned supreme over the UFC welterweight division from 2016 to 2019. However, the former champion left the promotion unceremoniously after four straight defeats.
It appears that 'The Chosen One' would be interested in returning to the UFC and closing out his tenure with the promotion on a more positive note. Woodley is currently a free agent and has competed against Jake Paul in two boxing matches in 2021.
'The Chosen One' was recently interviewed by MMA Fighting, during which he stated that he is thoroughly enjoying free agency.

"I’m a free agent and I’m enjoying my liberation. I’m enjoying doing what I want to do. Fighting when I want to fight and fighting for the amount of money I want. I’m the only guy in this sport that can do that... I have no door closed. I’m a businessman, I can fight in any business I want to. I can fight in any organization I want to. ONE, Bellator, Glory, PFL, UFC. I don’t get my feelings hurt in business. I don’t have to invite you to my daughter’s birthday as long as the check clears."

Tyron Woodley on who he would compete against in a "dream fight"
Tyron Woodley defended the UFC welterweight title four times and is regarded as one of the division's most dominant champions. However, 'The Chosen One' has been defeated in his last six combat sporting events, and fans are unsure if he will compete again.
But during a recent interview with MMA journalist Aaron Bronsteter, Woodley named the opponent he wanted to fight more than any other. 'The Chosen One' stated that Georges St-Pierre, an all-time MMA great, would be his dream opponent.
St-Pierre dominated the UFC's welterweight division for years, defending his title nine times. He also won the middleweight title against Michael Bisping after returning four years after retirement at UFC 217.
During his interview with Bronsteter, Tyron Woodley said this:
"George is the best, why wouldn't I call for him. Who's a better welterweight than Georges? I was willing to contest that by fighting him."
