Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo recently weighed in on the upcoming flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno at UFC 283.

Scheduled to take place on January 21 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this tetralogy bout between 'Deus da Guerra' and 'The Assassin Baby' will serve as the co-headliner of the card.

Speaking of the fight, 'Triple C' has expressed his opinion that Deiveson Figueiredo will be successful in defending his UFC Flyweight Championship belt against interim champion Brandon Moreno. Cejudo, who trained the Brazilian fighter, believes that Figueiredo has an edge due to his superior power and speed.

Sharing a clip on his Twitter handle, Cejudo compared the matchup to that of Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward 4 and had this to say:

" To me, it's always been Brandon will always be the same guy. He's always the same combinations. He is a guy that tends to anticipate you a little bit more. Kind of webs you into his fight zone. Throws, goes lower body and then climbs up top. But I just feel like Deiveson Figueiredo... the adjustments that he's made."

Henry Cejudo believes that despite the fact that the Brazilian fighter has not stepped foot in the octagon for over a year, he still has the mental fortitude to successfully defend his title belt.

"Yeah, he hasn't fought for about a year. But at the same time Brandon's fought one time more than Deiveson Figueiredo... So that being said, even though Deiveson Figueiredo hasn't fought in about a year, I just think his power's gonna be a little too much. I just think that drive that he has to really put that stamp on Brandon Moreno's head... I'm going Deiveson Figueiredo"

Brandon Moreno's take on fighting Deiveson Figueiredo, even if the champion doesn't make weight

UFC flyweight interim champ recently appeared in an interview with former UFC champion Daniel Cormier as he predicts his upcoming fight with Deiveson Figueiredo with the Brazilian's belt on the line.

During their discussion, Moreno was posed the question of whether he would still accept the fight against Figueiredo if the opponent did not make their required weight. To which 'The Assassin Baby' replied with the assurance that he would still compete as long as he was paid for it.

"Because that is the fight I preapred myself before right? if he made, I don't know... 127, 128[pounds] I don't care. Let's go to fight. Obviously [shows 'Pay Me' gesture] like I want that [laughs]. I want the narrow [money]. So yeah man when I finish this business I want to make my legacy bigger and let's see for the next step."
