BKFC is beginning to make a name for itself in the world of combat sports and has managed to attract multiple former UFC champions, with one recently expressing his surprise at his opponent's confidence ahead of his debut.
Despite once being frowned upon during its emergence, the company now has the power to bring in huge names and has done so multiple times in the past. In an interview ahead of his fight later this month, former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez spoke of his roots fighting bare-knuckle and revealed his shock at upcoming opponent Chad Mendes' confidence heading into the bout.
"The only reason I got into fighting period is because of how many street fights I got into. I did well on the street, I always won my fights and I sincerely thought I couldn't lose a fight as a young kid because of how many fights I won. This is how it all began for me. [1:14 onwards]j
