Daniel Cormier was a part of the commentary trio at UFC 283 this weekend and was praised by former UFC title challenger and commentator Dan Hardy for his comments during the Jessica Andrade and Lauren Murphy fight.

Hardy came across a tweet from MMA journalist Marc Raimondi, who had speculated whether Cormier had "forgot he was on commentary" when he shouted for the fight to be stopped. 'The Outlaw' stated the following:

"Good workd @dc_mma! Keeping "Stop The Fight!" alive! I'll get @NewShirtApparel to send you on of their shirts."

The fight saw Jessica Andrade dominate her opponent so badly that 'DC' pleaded with the referee to stop the bout from the commentary booth. Cormier's co-workers agreed with his sentiment and found no reason for the punishment to continue when the result seemed inevitable.

However, the humor found by Dan Hardy at Daniel Cormier's request stemmed from an incident that 'The Outlaw' was involved in during his UFC commentary career in 2020. Hardy was commentating on UFC Fight Night 174, where he had an outburst of his own during the Francisco Trinaldo and Jai Herbert bout.

Trinaldo won the bout via TKO, but the stoppage was far too late for Hardy's liking, who screamed for the fight to be stopped for several seconds before Herb Dean eventually stepped in. Dean then confronted Hardy at the Englishman's desk following the bout and told Hardy to keep his comments to himself.

Daniel Cormier believes Jamahal Hill could bring "stability" to light heavyweight division

Daniel Cormier reflected on Jamahal Hill's most impressive career performance, which saw him clinch the UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira at UFC 283.

In a division that has experienced championship turbulence, 'DC' believes that 'Sweet Dreams' holding the title could bring stability to the 205-pound division. As Daniel Cormier pointed out, there have already been four champions in the division since 2020:

"[Jamahal Hill] seems like the guy... It's inspiring to see a young man break through when he was ranked number 7 going into this fight. A tremendous performance that looks like he's gonna be the guy that could bring some stability to a weight class that's had four champions since 2020."

Jiri Prochazka was scheduled to face Glover Teixeira at UFC 282 to defend the light heavyweight title but was forced to withdraw from the bout due to a shoulder injury.

However, the former champion has already sent a message to the new king of the 205-pound division. Prochazka took to Twitter and to post:

"Congratulation @JamahalH I am coming"
