A former UFC fighter has demanded the disclosure of Mike Tyson's contract to prove the boxing legend's fight with Jake Paul wasn't rigged. Many within the combat sports community claimed the match was rigged after it ended up being a lackluster affair.

A large number of boxing fans criticized Paul for choosing to fight Tyson when he was far past his prime. The chaotic buildup to the fight had fans expecting an exciting encounter, but they were left disappointed as both Tyson and Paul showed little intent to engage in the ring.

Accusations of the fight being rigged intensified after several social media posts highlighted an instance where Tyson appeared to stop himself from throwing a potentially fight-ending right hook.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the organizing body of the Paul vs. Tyson fight, recently issued an official statement denying the rigging allegations. However, former UFC lightweight Kevin Lee was not convinced. He reposted MVP's statement on X, asking for Tyson's contract to be revealed to prove their innocence. He wrote:

"Show us Tyson’s contract, or this is just PR bullsh*t."

Most Valuable Promotions' co-founder presented a justification to prove Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight wasn't rigged

Fans often have negative perceptions about a fight, but the number of fans accusing the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson bout of being rigged was significant. This likely prompted MVP to issue an official statement denying the allegations.

Most Valuable Promotions' co-founder, Nakisa Bidarian, gave fans more than just an official statement. A recently uploaded Instagram video on MVP's account featured Bidarian explaining why they would never consider rigging a high-profile bout like the Paul vs. Tyson fight. Bidarian said:

"It was sanctioned by the Athletic Commission [of Texas], number one. Number two, our partners [for broadcasting] were Netflix, who are the biggest media company in America and a public entity.
"Number three, there was professional sports betting on the event. So if you were to rig such a competition, it is [would be] a federal crime, and myself, Jake Paul, Mike Tyson [and] executives from Netflix would all be going to jail. They [Netflix] would be risking their entire company and we would be risking our entire lives to do that.
"It is preposterous that people even suggest that this was in any way, anything other than a professional fight."
