Superbon finally settled his rivalry with Marat Grigorian in their ONE interim featherweight kickboxing match in April 2024 at ONE Friday Fights 58, which took place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
ONE Championship looked back at this elite-level showdown on their YouTube channel by posting the full fight replay. The video's description read:
"Relive all the action from the heated rematch for the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title between former divisional king Superbon and Armenian striking superstar Marat Grigorian in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 58!"
Since both fighters were familiar with each other's fight style due to their previous meetings, the match went down on who had the cleaner shots landed and the more damaging ones.
The former ONE featherweight Muay Thai king's primary weapon was his step-through knee strikes, which he paired with lethal kicks to the lead leg, body, and head of his Armenian nemesis.
Ultimately, the Thai superstar bagged the unanimous decision nod from the judges to secure another 26-pound golden belt and an automatic shot at Chingiz Allazov's undisputed crown.
Superbon vows to perform at his best when he rematches Tawanchai for the ONE featherweight title at ONE 170
Fresh off his first-round knockout win over Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81 last Sept. 27, Superbon is now ready for his second crack at Tawanchai PK Saenchai's ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title on Jan. 24 at ONE 170.
Before that championship rematch inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, the 33-year-old contender shared in an interview with ONE Championship that he will be at his best form, as he claimed:
"It had been a long time since I fought in Muay Thai. Eight years 10 years, most of the time I fought in kickboxing, the first time, everything wasn't perfect. But the next time, I will be perfect."
