Triple H made quite the announcement that will bring WWE to the UFC Apex after a partnership deal with Dana White.

WWE and UFC came together last year to form TKO Group Holdings with a premium live event from the former's developmental brand set to take place at the regular UFC Fight Night facility.

NXT Battleground was initially slated for the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia with the event being shifted to an earlier date into the more compact venue.

Taking to X to address the big announcement, Triple H said:

"The state-of-the-art UFC Apex has been home to so many incredible events... and for the first time ever on June 9, @WWE becomes part of that. Huge thanks @ufc and @danawhite for their partnership in bringing #NXTBattleground to Vegas."

Several X users responded to this news Triple H addressed with a sizable thread of tweets amassing thereafter.

Triple H, TKO crossover, and WWE stars who have fought in the UFC

While Triple H never stepped into the confines of the cage (outside of Hell in a Cell), several WWE stars have made their way into the octagon. Crossovers have existed between these two powerhouse brands well before the TKO merger late last year.

Brock Lesnar is one of the more immediately identifiable examples of this with Lesnar becoming a WWE champion before transitioning to the octagon and becoming the UFC heavyweight champion. He was part of some of the biggest pay-per-views in UFC history including UFC 100 and UFC 200 before going back to WWE action.

CM Punk is another instantly thought of example of this albeit for different reasons. Phil Brooks, Punk's government name, had a pair of octagon forays. First, a first-round submission loss to Mickey Gall and then a no-contest via a failed drug test for cannabis against Mike Jackson which was initially a decision win for Jackson.

Some fighters began their endeavors within the world of shoot fighting but moved over into the worked combat of WWE.

Ken Shamrock had early pro wrestling efforts as Vince Torelli before building a big name in MMA. Shamrock cemented himself as the King of Pancrase and the UFC super fight champion before becoming one of the more key players within WWE during their acclaimed Attitude Era.

Several examples like Dan Severn, Ronda Rousey, and Shayna Baszler can also be mentioned as notables in this context.
